Interactive RFID challenge
Find the Item
Can you locate a specific product the barcode way before RFID finds it? Search the sales floor, fitting room, and stockroom — then compare the experience.
The challenge
The system says the item is in stock. Where is it?
First, search item-by-item as if you were checking barcodes. Then let RFID sweep the same store. The simulation is intentionally simple — the point is to show the difference between serial item checks and item-level visibility.
Round 1 · Barcode search
Find the matching shirt.
Look at the shirt below, then scan store items one at a time until you find the exact match. It could be anywhere in the store.
Round 2 · RFID locator
Follow the RFID signal.
The store is reshuffled and you have a new target. Activate the RFID locator, then sweep through the merchandise. Like a Geiger counter, the signal gets stronger as you get closer. On a phone, simply scroll through the store. RFID reads several nearby items at once, and the Geiger-style beeps get faster and louder as you approach the target.
Challenge complete
Speed is only the beginning.
The bigger advantage is knowing where inventory is so store teams can act on it.
Followed the RFID signal to the target without serial barcode checks.
What can better item visibility unlock?
